- Designing large-scale distributed systems and microservices
- Security architecture, authentication and authorization design
- Identity management (SSO, OIDC, SCIM, RBAC/ABAC)
- System reliability, observability and performance tuning
- Experience integrating AI/ML and LLM-based capabilities securely
- Proven technical leadership and roadmap/delivery management
- SaaS/platform and cloud-native product experience
Responsibilities
- Build and grow a high-performing, senior engineering team across geographies with autonomy and accountability
- Design and lead secure, scalable backend architecture using Java (Spring Boot) and AWS cloud-native services
- Drive code quality, technical best practices, design reviews, system reliability, performance, and security posture
- Contribute code and make critical architectural decisions while unblocking engineers
- Partner with product and leadership to define engineering roadmaps and deliver strategic initiatives
- Integrate Generative AI capabilities (embeddings, RAG, LLM APIs) into product workflows responsibly and securely
- Design and implement authentication, authorization, and identity management (SSO, OIDC, RBAC/ABAC, SCIM)
- Mentor senior engineers and create a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (required)
- Master’s degree or PhD in a related field (preferred)
