This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Industry Dive. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, Grow in New York (USA).

This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing engineering team focused on developing and optimizing a suite of AI-enabled products. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery of scalable solutions that help clients achieve measurable business outcomes. Collaborating closely with product and business stakeholders, you will set technical direction, drive quality software practices, and mentor team members to grow their skills and capabilities. This position requires a balance of hands-on development, strategic planning, and people management in a dynamic, collaborative, and results-driven environment.

Accountabilities

·         Lead a cross-functional engineering team including Full-Stack Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and QA Engineers, providing mentorship and career development.

·         Oversee key product design decisions and produce supporting documentation such as design documents and proof-of-concepts.

·         Manage the breakdown of user stories into actionable tasks and ensure timely execution by the team.

·         Model high-quality software development practices, including hands-on coding, code reviews, and scalable design principles.

·         Contribute to the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve operational efficiency.

·         Ensure adherence to SDLC and Agile processes by tracking and reviewing KPIs.

·         Collaborate with peer engineering managers and architects to promote alignment and knowledge sharing across teams.

·         8+ years of professional experience developing cloud-based SaaS products, including UI, Backend, API, and ETL components.

·         5+ years of experience with ETL pipelines and complex metric calculations; Databricks experience is a plus.

·         3+ years in a management role overseeing day-to-day work and professional development of individual contributors.

·         Strong technical proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Python, TypeScript/JavaScript (Angular), Spark, and SQL.

·         Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

·         Collaborative mindset and ability to negotiate trade-offs with stakeholders.

·         Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with Git, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.

·         Commitment to building scalable, high-quality products, including unit testing, integration testing, and data validation strategies.

·         Competitive salary range: $170,000–$190,000 plus bonus.
