This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering seamless video experiences across mobile platforms. You will oversee the development of iOS and Android applications, as well as the backend systems that power live and on-demand streaming, ensuring fans, coaches, and families remain connected to the action. The position combines technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic planning, with a strong focus on product impact and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical direction, drive innovative solutions, and scale systems effectively. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports technology, experienced in mobile development and video streaming, and skilled at guiding high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This remote-friendly role provides influence over critical product decisions while shaping the team’s technical growth and organizational culture.

Accountabilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering technical excellence and leadership development.
• Collaborate across Video Platform, Computer Vision, and Business Development teams to deliver new features and integrations.
• Drive project execution by breaking down complex work, promoting experimentation, and iterating on product releases.
• Guide technical direction for video capture and playback, contributing to architecture and implementation when needed.
• Work with other engineering leaders to enhance organizational engineering practices, culture, and technical craft.
• Ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable video experiences for end-users across platforms.

• 3+ years of experience leading diverse engineering teams and 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong technical expertise in native iOS or Android development, including video streaming technologies.
• Experience designing and scaling APIs for rich and reliable mobile applications.
• Proven ability to prioritize, bring clarity to complex projects, and ensure accountability for delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for connecting communities through sports and driving meaningful user experiences.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration, agile development, and release management.

• Competitive salary range: $210,000 – $240,000, plus equity and performance-based bonus.
