Senior Database Administrator (Remote - US)

This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage, design, and optimize enterprise-level databases that support mission-critical operations. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment where database architecture, security, and performance are paramount. Ideal candidates are highly skilled in relational database management systems, SQL programming, and multi-platform database solutions. You will have a direct impact on operational efficiency and the success of high-profile projects, while also contributing to the security and compliance of critical data systems.

Accountabilities:

·         Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases in client/server environments.

·         Design, implement, and manage complex database structures, including file organization, access methods, security, and validation procedures.

·         Conduct quality control, audits, and data integrity checks to ensure proper database use.

·         Advise users on data access and provide technical guidance on database best practices.

·         Perform database programming, systems integration, and support software development needs.

·         Plan long-term database administration strategies in coordination with IT management.

·         Contribute to documentation, monitoring standards, and overall database performance.

·         Participate in special projects as needed to support organizational objectives.

·         Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.

·         At least 3 years of hands-on expertise with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

·         Experience in large-scale database administration, operation, maintenance, and security across multiple projects.

·         Capability to work with various operating systems and programming languages in database environments.

·         Active Top Secret clearance.

·         DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·         Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments and occasionally on client sites.

·         Physical ability to perform office-based tasks, including prolonged sitting, computer work, and lifting 15–25 pounds.
