Senior Cloud Security Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen the security posture of a cutting-edge cloud infrastructure in a mission-driven environment. You will define and enforce security policies, advocate for secure architecture, and work across cloud, networking, and application domains to prevent breaches and protect sensitive data. By collaborating with engineering, operations, and product teams, you will ensure security is embedded throughout the organization’s systems and processes. Accountabilities

·         Define, implement, and enforce organization-wide security policies and best practices.

·         Review cloud infrastructure, network, and application designs to ensure security and compliance standards are met.

·         Develop and maintain secure systems to support robust cloud operations and CI/CD pipelines.

·         Monitor and prevent infrastructure breaches and potential data compromises.

·         Advocate for security awareness and embed a culture of secure design across engineering teams.

·         Stay current with emerging threats and security research, ensuring timely organizational response.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security challenges and mitigate risks.

·         At least 4 years of experience in security engineering, with a focus on cloud security.

·         Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS cloud security, networking, and related security controls.

·         Moderate experience with application security principles and practices.

·         Experience with infrastructure-as-code and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Spacelift.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges.

·         Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across engineering, operations, and product teams.
