- Strong experience with public cloud databases: AWS RDS, Aurora, Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas.
- Proven automation and SRE experience using Python, Java, and scripting.
- Hands-on knowledge of DevOps tooling: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins for CI/CD and infra automation.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and large-scale database architecture.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Advanced performance tuning, monitoring, and disaster recovery skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, implementation, and evolution of scalable, available, and secure database architectures across SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-native platforms.
- Translate business requirements into robust database solutions aligned with enterprise data strategy.
- Perform in-depth performance analysis, query profiling, execution-plan tuning, and indexing strategies.
- Identify and remediate bottlenecks; recommend architectural enhancements for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Design and enforce database security: access controls, encryption standards, auditing, and vulnerability remediation.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting to detect anomalies and drive rapid incident resolution.
- Develop automation frameworks for deployments, schema changes, patching, backups, and disaster recovery using IaC and orchestration.
- Collaborate with software, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams on integration, data modeling, and performance improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, metrics, and recovery procedures.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
