As a Senior Backend Product Software Engineer, you will play a central role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable storage management solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform complex requirements into reliable, high-performing backend systems that support critical product capabilities. This position allows you to impact both the user experience and the underlying infrastructure, contributing to the speed, reliability, and efficiency of product delivery. You will mentor junior engineers, participate in architecture discussions, and help define best practices while working in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The role provides exposure to AI-enabled products, advanced storage technologies, and opportunities to influence engineering processes and technical strategy at scale.

Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend systems for storage management, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve backend systems to support current and future product needs.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices, code quality, and team growth.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous operation and reliability of production services.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and approaches, contributing to the development of AI-enabled features and services.

• 8+ years of professional experience building backend applications.
• BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects from concept to production, making tangible contributions to product success.
• Strong expertise in backend technologies and scalable system design.
• Proficiency with web application development and storage-focused backend systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical requirements with business goals.
• Collaborative mindset and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Contributions to open source projects or technical communities.
• Full-stack development experience.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Python, Go, Java, or Rust.

• Competitive salary: US Zone 2: $195,800 – $265,000 USD; US Zone 3: $174,100 – $235,500 USD.
