This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and scale innovative backend systems for secure remote access solutions. The Senior Backend Engineer will work on high-impact projects that enable seamless, zero-trust access to cloud and on-prem resources. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design, implement, and maintain scalable software. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality, secure solutions. You will contribute to the full project lifecycle, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the architecture of critical backend systems. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality feature delivery.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices (OOP, SOLID).
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Take ownership of the full project lifecycle from concept to production.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to promote technical growth.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies to improve team capabilities.
• Contribute to building microservices architectures and managing relational and NoSQL databases.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and delivering large-scale applications into production.
• Strong proficiency in Python; experience with Django is a major plus.
• Hands-on experience in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP; GCP preferred).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable backend systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong communication skills; able to work independently or collaboratively.
• Passion for high-quality coding standards and clean architecture.
• Degree in Computer Science is preferred but not mandatory.
• Optional but advantageous: experience with React, TypeScript, NextJS, Docker/Kubernetes, GraphQL APIs, asynchronous programming, basic computer networking, and technical leadership.
