The Lead Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and property management to design and implement software solutions that directly enhance operational efficiency and portfolio performance. You will build and deploy tools, automate workflows, integrate data pipelines, and create dashboards, while measuring the impact of technical solutions on business outcomes. This position combines hands-on engineering with strategic problem-solving, requiring strong communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions. Accountabilities:

·        Collaborate daily with business teams to identify inefficiencies, data gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

·        Rapidly prototype, design, and deploy software tools, dashboards, automations, and integrations to support operational goals.

·        Integrate multiple systems, including Yardi, Zendesk, Palantir Foundry, Excel/Sheets, and custom databases into unified workflows.

·        Build operational analytics models for forecasting, monitoring performance metrics, and optimizing costs.

·        Deploy AI and automation solutions to enhance workflows, summarize communications, and flag high-risk items.

·        Track and measure the impact of technical solutions on business performance and operational efficiency.

·        Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.

·        3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or applied analytics.

·        1+ years of practical experience with Palantir Foundry or Gotham.

·        Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and familiarity with APIs and ETL pipelines; experience with PySpark is a plus.

·        Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

·        Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions in business terms.

·        Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and ethics.

·        Goal-oriented, diligent, and able to probe for insights to validate information and solutions.

·        Competitive base salary: Lead Engineer $120k-$145k / Senior Lead Engineer $150k-$175k (dependent on experience and location).
