We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing software engineering team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Accountabilities:

• Lead daily engineering execution, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog management.
• Maintain Jira processes and workflow hygiene to support high-velocity development.
• Coordinate across departments to clarify requirements, resolve blockers, and ensure smooth delivery.
• Partner with senior leadership on roadmap priorities, capacity planning, and release coordination.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the engineering team, triaging issues and escalating when needed.
• Foster a culture of speed, accountability, and solution-oriented thinking.
• Define and track KPIs to reflect team performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion AI-first practices across the team to streamline workflows, documentation, and decision-making.
• Encourage high standards for engineering culture, velocity, and quality across the team.

• 5+ years of experience in engineering management or technical leadership roles, preferably in startups or fast-paced environments.
• Strong background in software engineering and technical fluency to communicate effectively with developers.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies, sprint operations, and Jira management.
• Proven ability to work independently and remotely, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and a pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset.
• Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Passion for AI tooling and automation to enhance team efficiency.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to bring clarity in ambiguous environments.
• Availability to work full-time in the EST timezone.
