Computer Vision Engineer, Geometry & Perception
Skills
- Proficient in C++ and Python for algorithm development and tooling.
- Strong understanding of camera projection, image distortion, rigid transforms, and multi-view constraints.
- Practical exposure to geometric computer vision topics (SLAM, camera calibration, stereo vision, photogrammetry).
- Experience with numerical and optimization libraries (e.g., Ceres, Eigen, NumPy, SciPy).
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Octave, or Jupyter for analysis and prototyping.
- Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and create evaluation metrics for vision systems.
- Clear communication skills for collaboration with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement offline and online camera, sensor, and display calibration algorithms (bundle adjustment, distortion models, multi-camera calibration).
- Develop and integrate vision-based pose estimation and tracking/localization methods using feature detection, matching, homography, and multi-view geometry.
- Build testing, evaluation, and experiment frameworks to validate geometric solutions and analyze experimental and production data.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams to create reliable manufacturing and calibration workflows.
- Maintain high-quality C++ and Python codebases, including numerical optimization and tooling for production pipelines.
- Work cross-functionally to integrate solutions with sensors, displays, and embedded systems used in mixed reality devices.
Education
- BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required).
- MS or PhD in a related field (preferred).
