In this role, you will lead the strategic transition of development and test infrastructure to a shared data center, ensuring continuity and minimal operational disruption. You will collaborate closely with IT, software development teams, and DevOps stakeholders to plan, migrate, and support critical systems that power geospatial software products. The position combines hands-on technical work with cross-functional coordination, offering the opportunity to influence DevOps strategy and modernize workflows. You will oversee the movement of hardware and virtual environments while maintaining CI/CD reliability, system performance, and deployment quality. This role offers flexibility in work location, with travel opportunities and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge geospatial technology initiatives.

• Accountabilities:
• Lead the planning and execution of the infrastructure transition to a centralized data center.
• Maintain clear communication with development teams, IT personnel, and DevOps leadership.
• Migrate DevOps systems including Perforce, Confluence, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, Artifactory, and test data repositories.
• Ensure CI/CD and test environments remain fully operational throughout the transition.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve build or migration issues promptly to avoid development delays.
• Champion transition strategy, provide regular updates to all stakeholders, and ensure alignment across teams.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems, Geospatial Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, ideally within geospatial technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, covering areas such as requirements, architecture, product assurance, security, and performance improvement.
• Experience with modern development practices including CI/CD, Agile methodologies, DevOps, or DevSecOps.
• Background supporting or delivering commercial off-the-shelf software.
• Preferred: 10 years of software development experience; scripting experience (Python, IDL); expertise with Jenkins, Artifactory, Confluence, VMware; and hands-on creation of CI/CD pipelines.
