Database Engineer/Administrator (Remote - US) - job 1 of 2

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing data systems and pipelines that power critical business operations. You will manage cloud-based databases, ensure data reliability and quality, and support scalable solutions for analytics and predictive modeling. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into valuable insights through automation, performance optimization, and strong data governance. Accountabilities

• Build, manage, and optimize robust data systems and pipelines to support high-performance applications.
• Maintain and enhance existing data infrastructure to meet evolving business and analytical needs.
• Analyze raw data, interpret patterns, and deliver insights that support data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and implement data acquisition strategies, ensuring data integrity, reliability, and scalability.
• Prepare datasets for predictive and prescriptive modeling, supporting advanced analytics initiatives.
• Create analytical tools, algorithms, and prototypes to automate and improve data processing.
• Collaborate closely with development and business teams to ensure database solutions align with strategic goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud-based database engineering or data infrastructure roles.
• Strong expertise with Azure services, including Event Hub, Stream Analytics, Blob Storage, DevOps CI/CD, and Log Analytics.
• Proven skills in MySQL administration and automation, along with experience in observability tools and alerting systems.
• Proficiency in SQL, PowerShell, and Python, with hands-on experience in Databricks Notebooks and ingest pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Debezium and Kusto Query Language (KQL) for data processing and monitoring.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• MS Azure certification(s) is a plus.
