Data Engineer III (Remote - US)

The Data Engineer III will design and implement scalable, low-latency data solutions, while ensuring resilience and high performance across distributed systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to strategic planning and process improvements. The role offers hands-on work with cloud-based platforms, data governance initiatives, and cutting-edge analytics technologies. Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain low-latency, high-volume, and resilient data solutions.
• Architect scalable distributed systems and make trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
• Lead large cross-functional data projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Drive data governance and data democratization initiatives across the organization.
• Utilize Azure components such as Functions and Synapse to enhance data architecture and processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure team adherence to coding standards, revision control, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in cloud-based or regulated environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and Apache Spark.
• Experience managing Big Data distributed systems such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Proven ability to lead software development projects and deliver maintainable, high-quality solutions.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership.

• Competitive annual salary: $141,462 – $185,000.
