Skills
- Experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning
- Data/software engineering experience (1+ years, internships applicable)
- Proficiency with SQL
- Development experience in object-oriented languages (Python, C, C++)
- Experience with Parquet or similar columnar storage formats
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and streaming/in-stream processing
- Experience with ETL design and maintenance and data pipeline tooling
- Experience with Spark, Presto, Flink, or Snowflake preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics infrastructure
- Automate metric aggregation and detect application-level issues at scale
- Lead technical investigations into chronic application and network issues
- Fuse data from multiple sources and create catalogs and tools for analytics
- Collaborate with operators, engineering leaders, subsystem engineers, software and network engineers, and external partners
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or another STEM discipline (required)
