Content Manager/Data Architect (Remote - US) - job 1 of 2

In this role, you will lead the planning, migration, and organization of digital content while ensuring compliance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability. You will serve as a bridge between content strategy and technical implementation, collaborating with content owners and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality, structured content. The role involves designing data models, managing content migrations from legacy systems, and applying metadata and taxonomy standards to optimize content usability. You will also ensure all content meets accessibility requirements and is documented according to best practices. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while making a significant impact on content management initiatives.

Accountabilities

• Lead and coordinate content migrations from legacy systems into modern content platforms.
• Audit, map, and transform content to ensure usability, consistency, and accessibility compliance.
• Collaborate with content owners and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy during migration.
• Define content models, data schemas, taxonomies, and governance frameworks.
• Validate migrated content for accuracy and compliance with Section 508/WCAG standards.
• Document content workflows, governance policies, and best practices.
• Support ongoing content management and optimization efforts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Data Management, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with content management systems (Drupal preferred).
• Proven experience leading enterprise-level content migrations.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, taxonomy, and content modeling.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG) and best practices.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Preferred:

• Experience with Drupal Migrate API or other migration tools.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud and data storage services.
• Experience in federal migration or digital modernization projects.
• Knowledge of analytics tagging and SEO optimization.

• Competitive salary range: $62,200 – $75,000 (adjusted based on experience and qualifications).
