This role is designed for a highly skilled cloud security professional with deep expertise in certification, accreditation, and cloud computing environments. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards and NIST guidelines, advising on secure cloud architectures across multiple platforms including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud. The position involves analyzing, designing, and implementing cloud solutions that meet stringent security requirements while supporting complex deployments, migrations, and operational needs. Collaboration with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders is critical to troubleshoot issues, recommend innovative solutions, and maintain compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. This position emphasizes autonomy, technical leadership, and a proactive approach to risk management and cloud optimization.

Accountabilities

• Provide expert guidance on cloud computing security, certification, and accreditation across multiple cloud platforms.
• Analyze and design cloud hosting requirements, deployment specifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize cloud environments.
• Implement security controls, including network security, encryption, tenant isolation, vulnerability assessments, and Zero Trust principles.
• Recommend innovative cloud solutions to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Support compliance, audits, and assessments in alignment with DoD/DISA policies and FedRAMP methodologies.
• Develop training materials and provide SME guidance to internal teams on cloud security practices.

• Active Secret clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing with deployment, migration, and management of complex cloud environments.
• 5+ years of C&A experience, including RMF and NIST SP 800-53/800-37 standards.
• In-depth knowledge of Zero Trust, Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA), and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Expertise in cloud technologies and automation, with experience in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP assessment methodology across six domain areas: architecture, data security, infrastructure, application security, operations, and compliance.
• Certification as a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE).
• Strong business and technical writing skills.
