Associate Director, Medical Affairs Analytics and Insights

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Travere Therapeutics. We are currently looking for an Associate Director, Medical Affairs Analytics and Insights in the United States.

This strategic role is ideal for a data-driven leader passionate about transforming medical data into actionable insight. You will play a critical part in defining and advancing analytics across global medical affairs, ensuring alignment with scientific strategy and business goals. By building robust dashboards, metrics, and KPIs, you’ll help communicate the value and impact of medical initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders. The position requires cross-functional collaboration, analytical rigor, and a keen understanding of data storytelling in the biopharmaceutical context. This is a remote-first position with occasional travel, offering the opportunity to shape a culture of evidence-based decision-making in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and implement the global analytics and reporting strategy for Medical Affairs to support evidence generation, scientific engagement, and strategic planning.
  • Build and execute scalable, forward-looking analytical capabilities, including dashboards and KPIs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive impact reports to showcase the value of medical initiatives across stakeholder engagement, data dissemination, and evidence creation.
  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques to interpret complex data sets and translate them into compelling insights for leadership.
  • Serve as the Medical Affairs analytics expert, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and alignment with best practices.
  • Partner with medical and cross-functional teams (including Commercial, Clinical, and Digital Strategy) to incorporate field data and maximize data utility.
  • Lead the design and execution of reporting frameworks that support strategic decisions and foster continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert consultation on medical datasets, their nuances, limitations, and potential for insight generation.
  • Guide internal stakeholders in leveraging data to improve planning and engagement outcomes across medical initiatives.
  • Deliver reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical analytics, ideally with a focus on Medical Affairs.
  • Strong track record in designing KPIs, dashboards, and insight-driven reports for medical functions.
  • Expertise with medical datasets (e.g., RWE, clinical trials, EHR, scientific engagement).
  • Deep understanding of data storytelling, strategic analytics, and regulatory compliance related to data usage.
  • Advanced proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, R, Python, and Veeva CRM.
  • Skilled communicator with experience presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to lead without direct authority.
  • Experience with product launches and operating in matrixed, fast-paced environments is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally; occasional on-site presence required.
  • Target base salary range: $146,000–$190,000, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
