Applications Engineer - REMOTE

In this role, you will provide essential support to the sales force by engaging with customer specifications, preparing proposals, and managing orders. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the efficiency of operations, ensuring that customer needs are met with precision and professionalism. By interfacing with vendors and providing technical support, you will play a key role in maintaining high performance within the organization. This position allows you to leverage your engineering skills and contribute to the success of dynamic projects remotely.

• Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive professional proposals.
• Use in-house created software to select optimal pumps, generate scope of supply, and submit orders.
• Handle customer telephone inquiries.
• Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment.
• Effectively process orders and manage any issues that arise.
• Act as a liaison between operations and the customer.
• Participate in sales calls with the Sales Engineer as part of development.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Participate in pre-award meetings as required.
• Develop effective rapport with customer contacts.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office and pump selection software.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude.
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks with quick turnaround requirements.
• Knowledge of municipal water and wastewater systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of typical municipal tender process is preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in rotating equipment, ideally pumps.
• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
