WINGS ICT Solutions is looking for a talented IT Project Manager to join our team and contribute to ongoing and upcoming projects. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects within a telecommunications environment. The role requires some understanding of telecom infrastructure, systems integration, and agile methodologies. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, ensure project goals are aligned with business objectives, and deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
The main responsibilities will involve:
1. Project Planning & Initiation
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Conduct feasibility assessments, risk analysis, and cost estimations.
2. Project Execution & Monitoring
- Lead cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and external vendors.
- Monitor project progress and performance using KPIs, dashboards, and Agile metrics.
- Manage risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Coordinate UAT, system integration testing, and go-live readiness activities.
3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including business units, operations, and leadership.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants, ensuring SLAs and delivery commitments are met.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
4. Agile Project Delivery (Scrum/SAFe/Hybrid Models)
- Implement and advocate Agile methodologies
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with Product Owners to manage and prioritize backlogs.
- Champion a continuous delivery and continuous improvement mindset.
Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Management or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s Degree in the afore-mentioned areas or an MBA will be considered as a plus.
Desired experience and skills:
- At least 3 to 4 years of proven experience managing the full software project lifecycle
- Exposure or proven experience to software development processes
- Strong knowledge of both Agile and traditional Waterfall methodologies
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project
- Understanding of Agile principles
- Some understanding of telecommunications architecture: OSS/BSS, CRM, mediation, provisioning, and billing
Desired but not mandatory:
- Project Management certification (PMP / PRINCE II / Agile) from an accredited organization
