We are seeking a Director of Global Expansion to lead CIC’s global expansion efforts. Reporting to the CEO this strategic and high-impact role is focused on identifying new markets, developing business cases, building and managing financial models for the new sites, negotiating deal terms, and managing expansion opportunities from early concept through signed agreements. You will work alongside the company’s CEO, holding and developing the relationships with our senior counterparts at the organizations with whom we partner to expand.
Our partner organizations includemultiple levels of government, universities, hospital systems, and private real estate developers. You will work with them to evaluate and shape potential CIC locations. The role combines direct financial modeling (you will be responsible for creating and developing the spreadsheets containing our financial models), strategic planning, negotiation, and partnership development to help determine where and how CIC grows next.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Manage driving the expansion/growth pipeline, including sourcing new opportunities, managing and evaluating inbound opportunities, diligence, negotiation and execution
• Being fully autonomous (responsible for financial model conceptualization, design, execution and accuracy/checking) for new ventures being considered by CIC. You will work with various CIC teams to assess product offerings, sales channels, capital sources, etc, and integrating the same into your models..
• Using financial models to think strategically about opportunities from a holistic company perspective. You will also be making autonomous decisions about whether or not to explore inbound opportunities, bringing recommendations to executive management on strategy and operational roll out as projects reach a more advanced stage..
• Building relationships throughout the company to enable identification of opportunities to drive improvements on current processes for rolling out new ventures and quarterback initiation/implementation of new ideas.
• Evaluate growth and partnership opportunities using key metrics , demographics, competitive data, leveraging industry expertis
• Owning project structuring process and negotiations with internal and external partners. Comfortable drafting term sheets , letters of intent (LOI) and investment memoranda
• Working closely with CIC’s finance and operations teams to integrate your financial projections into their overall underwriting efforts.
• Analyzing financial results to identify revenue and cost trends at both a project and company level.
• Providing guidance to other CIC departments on making expansion/growth financial decisions
• Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure that key financial assumptions, benchmarks, and models are shared and understood across internal stakeholders involved in expansion decisions.

YOU HAVE:
• A bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business, or a related field (an MBA is a plus).
• Direct experience working on expansion projects—such as launching new locations, evaluating new markets, structuring partnerships, or supporting large-scale business growth initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in building complex financial and economic models, including pricing, forecasting, and underwriting.
• A proven track record of contributing to high-stakes decisions with tangible business outcomes.
• Strong ability to use financial insights and market data to drive strategic choices and business planning.
• Experience working on multi-stakeholder projects, ideally including real estate, public-private partnerships, or new market entry.
• Comfort presenting and communicating effectively with C-level executives and external partners.
• A background in high-growth, fast-paced organizations, with a strong sense of ownership and adaptability.
• Comfortable working across time zones and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
