- Significant litigation experience (trial, appellate, or complex disputes)
- Strong legal analysis, reasoning, and precise written communication
- Familiarity with evidence, motion practice, appellate briefs, and courtroom procedure
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and logical rigor
- Comfort working independently as a remote contractor with secure equipment
Responsibilities
- Engage in substantive legal dialogue with AI models to simulate trial, motion practice, appellate, and evidentiary scenarios
- Assess model outputs for factual accuracy, legal reasoning, and procedural correctness
- Identify, document, and reproduce failure points and performance gaps
- Provide clear written feedback and annotated examples to guide model improvements
- Collaborate with product and research teams to refine prompts, evaluation metrics, and test suites
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security and NDA requirements
- Validate and document jurisdictional/legal citations and sources as needed
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree
- Active state bar admission / law license
- Preferable: judicial clerkship, teaching experience, or legal publications
