Backend Engineering Specialist - AI Trainer
Skills
- Proficiency in backend languages (Python, Java, Go, or C++)
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Spring, or Express
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with API design (REST, gRPC) and authentication patterns
- Understanding of distributed systems, scaling, and performance trade-offs
- Experience with cloud services and containerization (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
- Excellent technical communication and ability to produce concise feedback
- Attention to detail and strong debugging/problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Review, annotate, and evaluate AI-generated backend code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability
- Identify, document, and categorize common error patterns and failure modes in model outputs
- Provide clear, actionable feedback and corrections to improve model training data and evaluation rubrics
- Collaborate with prompt engineers, data scientists, and product teams to refine prompts, tests, and evaluation criteria
- Assess architecture, API design, database usage, and scalability considerations in submitted code
- Contribute to internal guidelines, best practices, and examples for backend engineering across languages and frameworks
- Participate in iterative evaluation cycles, quality assurance, and metric-driven improvement of training datasets
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
- Relevant professional experience in backend engineering or software development
