Instructure is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop modern web experiences and services for educators and learners, utilizing technologies like Node.js, TypeScript, and Next.js, based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Responsibilities: Design and build production features, develop serverless APIs, optimize Postgres queries, and champion software accessibility and observability.
Skills: 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong skills in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, AWS, and Postgres, along with a focus on security and global app operations.
Qualifications: Preferred experience includes LTI/OAuth integrations, analytics, and familiarity with edge runtimes and cost/performance tuning.
Location: Salt Lake City, UT, with occasional travel required for team meetings.
Compensation: $140000 - $166000 / Annually

You'll work across the stack from elegant, accessible UIs to resilient serverless backends, and you'll help us scale safely across regions and time zones. This person should be located within Utah and able to travel on occasion to meet with other team members in person.
