Job Description

Informa Connect Foodservice is looking for a creative, passionate Multimedia Content Producer to join a team of innovative storytellers serving the national restaurant industry. This role combines creative storytelling, technical video production skills, and strategic social media knowledge to create engaging content that resonates with different platform audiences. A deep knowledge of multimedia and social media best practices, trends, and tools is required.

JOB FUNCTION:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and adapt digital stories into engaging social media content
  • Produce, edit, and optimize short-form video content both for publications and individual editors, to be published across multiple platforms
  • Optimize content according to platform, especially Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Generate dynamic video content series that build and engage audiences
  • Serve as on-camera talent for content when needed
  • Stay current with social media trends, platform-specific best practices, and algorithmic optimization needs
  • Contribute to the strategic development of a social media tactical plan including platform prioritization, brand personalities/style guides, community building, and execution

Daily Tasks:

  • Transform long-form content into bite-sized, platform-appropriate formats
  • Create engaging thumbnails and video covers
  • Write compelling captions and descriptions
  • Monitor performance metrics and engagement
  • Collaborate with writers and content strategists
  • Research trending topics and strategies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant digital content experience
  • Video production and editing expertise
  • Strong storytelling abilities
  • Experience with social media platforms and their specific formats, particularly Instagram (Reels, Stories, Posts), YouTube (Shorts), and TikTok
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools to optimize content
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Ability to be proactive and self-starting in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in video editing software
  • Knowledge of social media management tools
  • Understanding of content optimization and SEO
  • Experience with mobile video production
  • Experience with workflow tools like Trello, Slack, SharePoint a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in digital media, communications, or related field
  • Portfolio demonstrating video editing and social media content creation

The salary range for this role is $75k to 85k USD based on experience.
