Job Summary:

The curriculum team at iCEV brings careers to the classroom through engaging educational videos and slide decks featuring some of the most unique workplaces in the nation as well as lessons, projects and activities that develop high school students’ career preparedness in a variety of areas.

The Curriculum Alignment & Assessment Developer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that iCEV's curriculum aligns with state, national and industry standards and benchmarks. This developer is responsible for continuously improving alignments and assessments based on new state, national or industry standards, instructional materials adoptions, standards-based testing initiatives and further iCEV product development trends. The role involves collaboration with educators, industry experts, and other teams within the product department to ensure the alignments and assessments are relevant, comprehensive, and effective.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze state, national and industry standards and benchmarks to ensure alignment
  • Align iCEV content to relevant and current state/national education standards, industry standards or existing industry certifications
  • Review and update alignments as needed
  • Align materials for success in instructional materials adoptions
  • Collaborate with educators and industry experts as needed in the development of alignments and assessments
  • Develop assessments such as pre-test/post-tests to measure student growth
  • Create assessments aligned to standards to facilitate standards-based grading
  • Work closely with the Product team to integrate alignment and assessment strategies

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in grammar, spelling, punctuation and written English skills
  • Ability to positively receive and respond to constructive feedback to improve the quality of work
  • Must be able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Must enjoy a work environment requiring flexibility, self-direction, creativity, strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft® Office Suite, specifically Excel

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Prior experience in the education sector or EdTech industry is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Additional Details: 

  • Our organization supports a flexible work environment that balances collaboration, productivity, and business needs. Following a probationary period, this role offers a hybrid schedule 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. Please note this is based on employee performance and is subject to change.
