Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly and biweekly payroll cycles and ensure accurate, timely payments.
- Operate payroll system functions including pay changes, deductions, garnishments, terminations, and special pay items.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and collaborate with HRBPs and fulfillment leadership on payroll changes.
- Partner with Accounting to record payroll activity to the general ledger and maintain/update GL codes associated with payroll.
- Manage state payroll tax compliance: registrations, filings, unemployment accounts, and withholding setups.
- Audit timecards and payroll logs to identify missed punches, no-pays, and policy compliance issues.
- Document payroll controls and processes to support external audits and drive continuous process improvements.
- Manage benefit vendor funding for 401(k), FSA, and HSA deductions and reconcile payroll-related benefit items.
- Identify and implement automation and AI-led efficiencies to streamline payroll workflows and reduce manual effort.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Payroll certification (CPP) or equivalent training is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant payroll experience will be considered
