HockeyStack is an Applied AI company on a mission to automate sales, marketing, and customer success for B2B companies. We build the most complete and accurate picture of the B2B buyer by integrating with every tool your team uses, partnering with third-party data providers, and deploying custom AI research agents. We use this data to power applications that automate high-value, high-complexity workflows across the go-to-market and revenue teams. Our core products include:
Marketing Intelligence – instantly answers questions like “What led to that sudden drop in pipeline?”
Account Intelligence – surfaces next-best actions to help reps move target accounts toward conversion
Since launching in January 2023, we’ve come through Y Combinator, raised a $20M Series A led by Bessemer. We’re growing 3× year-over-year, have hit multimillion ARR, and process over 60 TB of GTM data monthly. Based at our San Francisco HQ, we operate fully in-person, move fast and hire people who are ready to win.
This isn’t a walk in the park—it’s a climb. As our Product Designer, you’ll be solving complex problems and designing experiences that make powerful capabilities feel intuitive. You’ll work side-by-side with product and engineering to move fast, stay scrappy, and turn abstract ideas into seamless user flows. You’ll balance speed with craft, knowing when to push for pixel-perfect polish and when to ship to learn. Every decision you make will help shape the future of our product and the experience our users have every day.
Own the user experience from problem definition to polished design, collaborating closely with PMs to understand user pain points and define the right solutions.
Design both UX and UI for new features and improvements, ensuring clarity, consistency, and delight in every interaction.
Prototype and test rapidly, validating ideas and iterating quickly based on feedback and technical constraints.
Document and communicate design decisions clearly to engineering so they can build exactly what’s envisioned.
Define and maintain our design system, ensuring visual and behavioral consistency across the product.
Think in systems, connecting individual features into a cohesive, intuitive whole.
Ownership-first mindset — you take initiative, move fast, and figure things out
Thrive in early-stage, high-urgency environments where speed and impact matter
Fully committed to working in-person 5 days/week at our SF HQ
Curious, self-aware, and feedback-driven — you bring energy, not ego
See this role as a defining chapter — not a stepping stone or side quest
A first-principles thinker who can break down complex workflows into elegant, usable experiences.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills—you can navigate ambiguity and create clarity.
Strong UX skills: designing flows that are simple, intuitive, and user-friendly.
Strong UI and visual design skills: detail-oriented, consistent, and visually polished.
Proficiency in prototyping tools—Figma is a must.
Clear, precise communication, especially with engineering teams.
Comfortable working quickly and iteratively in a scrappy startup environment.
Familiarity with user research methods, experience designing for desktop or data-heavy interfaces.
We’re at an inflection point. The product is proven, the market is massive, and the opportunity is wide open. You’ll be joining a company with real traction, rapid growth, and meaningful backing—where every person still shapes the outcome. This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to build something category-defining with people who care deeply about doing it right.
As part of our San Francisco, California-based team, the salary range for this role is $120,000– $180,000 USD base pay annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
