Job Description:

As the SMPES Integration Lead Software Engineer, you will lead software engineering and development efforts to integrate six separate program systems into the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES). You will guide other software developers on the project and apply industry and Government best practices for secure software design. Your work will ensure that applications meet SMPES requirements before being deployed into a production environment.

You’ll also be responsible for optimizing system performance, researching, designing, and modifying enterprise-wide systems, and implementing Agile methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the integration of program systems into SMPES.
• Managing the software development lifecycle and ensuring compliance with software standards.
• Implementing Agile processes and supporting deployment planning.
• Continuously assessing and optimizing SMPES application performance.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Education: BA/BS or equivalent.
• Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with relevant experience in systems integration and development.
• Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, GCLD or GSEC or CSSLP.
• Location: Offutt AFB, NE.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with secure software design and development methodologies.
• Proficiency with Agile processes and deployment planning.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500, based on experience, location, and contractual requirements. This range is not a guarantee, as final salary is determined by various factors.
