Position Overview:

Sanford Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with 3-5 years of experience in Endocrinology to join our Bemidji clinic team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing direct care to patients in a range of care settings, working alongside physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat various conditions. You’ll also have the opportunity to provide education on health management and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assist in patient assessments, treatments, and follow-up care, including prescribing medications and managing recovery.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers, specialists, and teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Health Education: Counsel patients and families on health management, prevention, and treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate health records for each patient in a timely manner.
• Procedures & Consultations: Cover hospital consultations, assist with patient procedures, and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Research & Best Practices: Utilize evidence-based guidelines to improve patient outcomes and keep current with medical advances.
• Compliance: Stay updated on state regulations and reimbursement processes such as Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's, post-master's, or doctorate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Licensure: Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice, including a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit.
• Certification: Certified as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), or other relevant certifications.
• Experience: 3+ years of clinical experience, with a focus on endocrinology.
