Sr DevOps Engineer

The Sr. DevOps Engineer's primary responsibility will be to design, develop, test, and deliver solutions on the DevOps enablement team. As part of the team, you will be building automated tools and frameworks and help develop and maintain the CI/CD pipelines

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Design, Build and implement CI/CD pipelines for Healthfirst applications.
  • Meet with development teams to understand how to automate deployments.
  • Work with development teams to codify configuration in KV Database.
  • Test implemented designs.
  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Handle last level support for code deployments in all environments.
  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve on our DevOps processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
  • Brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve development delivery.
  • Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects.
  • Manage CI and CD tools with team.
  • Document and design various processes around DevOps; update existing processes.
  • Improve infrastructure development and application development.
  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a HS Diploma or GED from an accredited institution with equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools such as Git, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory and Consul.
  • 2+ years of DevOps experience with one of the following: AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience with DevOps Culture and Agile Development.
  • Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations.


Preferred:

  • Containerization Management experience (Kubernetes and Docker).
  • Experience using Veracode.
  • Experience working in Agile Release Management Tools.
  • Experience using Cyberark and Conjur.
  • Experience using Selenium.
  • Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL, MySQL), CI/CD tools, scripting. such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, PowerShell, Groovy, Ruby, .NET, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies.
  • Experience with AWS components such as SAM, lambda, API gateway, S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, EC2, RDS, RedShift, IAM, SSM, Secrets Manager, and DynamoDB.
  • AWS DevOps Certification
  • Experience with Terraform modules and registries
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) with compliance requirements is a plus

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $131,900 - $190,570

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $117,400 - $174,675

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

In addition to your salary, Healthfirst offers employees a full range of benefits such as, medical, dental and vision coverage, incentive and recognition programs, life insurance, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Healthfirst believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package wherever its employees work and live.

*The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in “good faith” would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
