Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Identity & Collaboration Systems Engineer to architect, implement, and optimize our identity, access, and collaboration platforms. You will be the technical owner of our identity and collaboration ecosystem, driving automation, security, and user experience across the company. You’ll work closely with teammates in Business Technology, Security, Engineering, and People teams to ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and at the cutting edge of AI-driven automation.

What You'll Do

• Architect, implement, and manage Okta as the central identity provider, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and SaaS integrations.

• Automate user provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and onboarding/offboarding using AI and workflow tools.

• Administer and optimize Slack, Google Workspace, Linear, Notion, and Zoom, designing AI-powered automations, bots, and integrations to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize access policies, permissions, and group structures for security and compliance, leveraging AI-driven behavioral analytics to detect and respond to anomalous activity.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and user-friendly identity and collaboration solutions.

• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and training materials for end-users and IT staff.

• Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and incident response exercises to ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements.

• Evaluate and implement new AI tools and integrations to advance a seamless, intelligent workplace.

What You Have

• 7+ years of experience in IT, with deep expertise in identity and access management and collaboration platforms.

• Hands-on experience administering Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, and other modern SaaS tools.

• Strong background in automation (e.g., Okta Workflows, Python, PowerShell, Zapier, or similar).

• Solid understanding of security frameworks (Zero Trust, least privilege, SSO, MFA, RBAC).

• Familiarity with API integrations, webhooks, and SaaS management best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

• Passion for creating delightful, secure, and efficient technology experiences for employees.

Bonus Points:

• Experience integrating AI/ML solutions into IT or security workflows is highly desirable.

• Experience with Linear, Notion, and Zoom administration.

• Prior work in a high-growth, AI-first startup environment.

• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR).

Compensation Range

$145,000 - $195,000 USD
