Associate M365 Cloud Security Engineer- Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)
Skills
- 1–3 years administering Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive)
- Basic cloud security and identity management knowledge
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, Conditional Access, and MFA
- Exposure to Intune for device and app management
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and endpoint protection concepts
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication for technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Assist in configuration, monitoring, and tuning of Microsoft 365 security features (Entra ID/Azure AD Conditional Access, MFA)
- Support Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Endpoint, and Identity deployments and monitoring
- Help implement and maintain Microsoft Purview compliance and DLP policies
- Manage Intune device compliance and application protection settings
- Support investigations for security incidents related to M365 services and assist remediation
- Help maintain identity governance including role assignments, access reviews, and PIM
- Participate in security posture assessments and remediation tasks
- Assist with email security configurations, phishing simulations, and threat analysis
- Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps; stay current with M365 security updates
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant Microsoft security certifications (SC-900, SC-200, MS-500) are preferred
