Application Security Engineer - North Central region (Remote in the U.S.)
Skills
- 2-3 years experience in Application Security
- Hands-on experience with SAST/DAST/SCA tools
- Proficiency with Burp Suite Pro for manual testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD and IDE tooling (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Secure SDLC and vulnerability remediation
- Experience integrating security tools into development pipelines
- Clear written and verbal communication for client interactions
Responsibilities
- Execute and analyze SAST, DAST, and SCA tool outputs and produce actionable recommendations
- Perform manual application security testing using tools like Burp Suite Pro
- Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines and ticketing systems
- Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities
- Review source code to identify security issues across common languages
- Document findings and communicate technical issues clearly to clients and stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, OSCP, CEH, or vendor certs) preferred
