Skills
- Financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides skills
- Experience with FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive, NetSuite) and data systems
- Ability to translate financial data into business and operational plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with SaaS / subscription business models (preferred)
- Familiarity with AWS cost modeling and cloud spend forecasting (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the R&D organization (Engineering and Product).
- Partner with Engineering and Product leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives and prioritization.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investments, headcount plans, and project ROI.
- Analyze and report on R&D spend, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decisions.
- Model business scenarios and investment cases to support the transition to an AI-first strategy.
- Collaborate with broader FP&A and GTM teams to align financial planning across Sales, Marketing, and Product.
- Provide AWS cost modeling and forecasting support and advise on cloud spend.
- Drive process improvements and automation to increase FP&A efficiency and accuracy.
- Own ad-hoc financial analyses and project work as business needs require.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
