Overview:
As a junior automotive design consultant, you will work in our Customer Success department supporting our Design Consulting teams. Your main focus will be supporting our DC team with one of the world’s top automotive manufacturers, HQ’d in Detroit. You will also assist the DC team and our wider commercial function in supporting our other customers in the footwear and industrial design industries. You will work closely with the users and management to garner a deep understanding of their workflows and position Gravity Sketch as an innovative solution to their design challenges.
This role is crucial to achieving our vision of disrupting the design process positively, and you will be part of the team that builds out this proposition from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
Work alongside a team of automotive DCs to enable the customer to embed Gravity Sketch as a tool in their workflow
Dig in deep with the customer users to understand their current workflow, how Gravity Sketch can help different users’ needs and what type of support will be needed
Own customer engagements: you will be tasked with driving user success depending on what is needed from the customer. These engagements could include different interactions ranging from base-level tool onboarding to advanced workshops and seminars.
Deliver engaging training sessions that inspire Designers and Design Directors to use the tool in their workflows and unlock a new level of creativity. These sessions will be delivered both remotely and in person at the customer HQ in Detroit.
Identify and organize the resources needed to support our customers depending on where they are in their journey
Monitor success metrics to identify where customers are succeeding and where there are areas of opportunities
Communicate internally to the team on how our customers are using and implementing Gravity Sketch into their workflow
Requirements:
Based in the Detroit area with your own means of transport to be on-site with the customer at least twice per month.
1+ years experience working with software in automotive design
Adobe Suite, Gravity Sketch and other 3D Programs (Eg. Rhino, Modo, KeyShot, Blender, not all are necessary)
Advanced knowledge of using Gravity Sketch in the automotive design process. Knowledge of the design process in industrial design or engineering is a plus.
Organization: Excellent structure and organization, with strong attention to detail.
Self-driven: Able to hit the ground running and execute quickly once we have aligned on a plan. Self-driven to learn, to set targets, and able to work under limited supervision.
Passion and curiosity: Avid interest in VR, design and understanding how different products are made, curious personality and enjoys digging deep to understand and solve a problem
Grit: Positive attitude, and strong team working skills and hungry for success, not afraid to roll up sleeves and help out wherever needed
People-oriented: Excellent communicator - both written and verbal in English, Great listening and relationship-building skills , ability to adjust communication styles accordingly to varying personality types
