GoodParty.org is looking for a Data Analyst to join our mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy. We’re seeking a Data Analyst who thrives at the intersection of numbers, storytelling, and impact. Your work will power decision-making across the organization, improve our tools, and help us empower candidates and communities nationwide.

GoodParty.org is on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering independent candidates to run, win, and serve. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to independent candidates to run their campaigns, connect with voters, and serve their communities effectively.

A majority of eligible voters, including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither Republicans nor Democrats represent them. GoodParty.org is the solution. In 2024 we empowered 3,444 independent candidate wins across 48 states from all across the ideological spectrum. The only things our elected officials have in common is that they prioritize people over parties and community over corporate interests. In 2024, 40.3 million votes (26% of all voters) cast a ballot for our candidates. We’re not a political party, we’re a platform and a movement to democratize democracy.

Founded by serial entrepreneur Farhad Mohit ($1B+ in exits, including Flipagram/TikTok and Shopzilla), GoodParty.org is building solutions so we can have a truly representative democracy where society’s biggest problems are solved.

What you’ll do:

• Work with leadership to improve and run our organizational learning machine to enable fast, data-driven iterations across every function and major project.

• Build and run GoodParty.org’s end-to-end operational business intelligence system in close partnership with Data Engineers and Ops. Own data visualization and business intelligence suite.

• Execute cross-functional analytical projects for finance, product, marketing and politics.

• Lead quality checking of AI-transformed incoming batches of data and handle any manual transformation needed thereafter.

• Collaborate with team leads and the data science team to align dashboards with organizational goals.

• Test and iterate on visualizations to optimize usability and insight delivery for cross-functional teams.

• Report to Director of Business Operations working on the Ops Team

Who we’re looking for:

• You’re up for the audacious challenge of transforming our democracy for Good and don’t think the two-party system is the answer.

• You have 1-5 years of work experience in a business analytics or data analytics role.

• You are quantitative by nature.

• Your technical skills include SQL, Business Intelligence Tools (Looker, Metabase, etc.), Python or R, and leveraging AI tools to do it all more efficiently.

• You know how to visualize data or findings in a way anyone can easily digest.

• You catch the details that others miss and notice issues as they’re emerging. You can’t help but proactively jump in to help solve them.

• You enjoy no day being the same, being given new challenges, and figuring out the best possible approach to quickly get to the desired outcome.

Bonus if:

• You have worked at a data-driven politics organization.

• You have experience studying, working, or volunteering in politics, political activism, or democracy reform.

• You’re sick of sitting on the sidelines watching our democracy fail to meet its potential.

• You’ve worked with Databricks and/or dbt, enabling faster onboarding to our data platform.

• Familiarity with Figma, Balsamiq, or similar wireframing tools for designing dashboard layouts.

• Comfort with developing and refining internal Metabase dashboards based on stakeholder needs.

The salary range is $80,000 - $100,000 for this remote, full-time position with excellent benefits. This range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, seniority, education, qualifications, certifications, and organizational needs. We reserve the right to modify this pay range at any time.
