Construction Program Representatives (CPRs) lead the functional areas of EB with the goal of achieving all program objectives. CPRs are responsible for making and approving critical decisions involving cost, schedule, quality, and continuous improvement. The CPR is also responsible for continuously measuring each functional area's performance against objectives, initiating prompt corrective action(s), and representing EB to the Navy (Ship's Force/SSGR/PMS397) for all program issues.
The ideal candidate is well organized, an excellent communicator, thinks strategically while also being able to tactically address issues professionally. The selected candidate is a self-starter, bringing new and innovative ideas to startup of the Groton COLUMBIA Construction Program. This position is a tremendous opportunity to learn about all functional areas of the company, while also contributing to a key enterprise need. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading all functional areas with readiness, execution, and delivery of COLUMBIA Class Submarines from the Groton Shipyard.
The CPR will work directly with the Groton COLUMBIA Construction Program Office team to assist in developing a comprehensive and repeatable metrics package that will drive desired behaviors. Cost, schedule, and attainment metrics such as IMCS Data, 3G and 7G reports are the essential tools that will be used to track performance.
This is a high visibility position to shipyard and senior leadership. The successful candidate, with experience, will be expected to engage with all levels of management to report progress, seek assistance, and manage activities. Engagement will be throughout the waterfront organizations including Planning, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Test, Contracts, Finance, Ship's Force, and SSGR.
