Responsibilities
- Define and socialize credit risk strategy and risk appetite aligned to growth and profitability goals
- Establish credit policy and lifecycle controls across originations, account management, collections, and recoveries
- Design and iterate underwriting, pricing, and line‑management strategies using traditional and alternative data
- Develop and maintain mission‑critical KRIs/KPIs reporting and dashboards (approval, loss, delinquency, roll rates, unit economics)
- Run champion/challenger tests, back‑testing, performance optimization and monitoring of underwriting strategies
- Enhance account management functions including line management, utilization, delinquencies, collections, and recoveries
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance on launch criteria, go/no‑go decisions, and post‑launch monitoring
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, negotiate SLAs, and evaluate ROI
- Coordinate with Fraud Management to define credit vs. fraud decision boundaries and mitigate identity risk
- Hire, coach, and develop analysts; establish operating cadence, documentation, and incident playbooks
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, math, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/MA/MBA) or relevant certification preferred
