Financial Analyst I - FP&A

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division is seeking a Financial Analyst I – FP&A to join the team. This position will prepare and analyze financial performance data to monitor variances, identify trends and provide improvement recommendations.  

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to understand why actual financial results differ from budgeted or forecasted figures.  

  • Forecasting: Assists in the monthly analytical financial forecasts to predict future financial performance and help management anticipate challenges and opportunities.  

  • Reporting: Assists with maintaining and updating standard reporting & analysis to support operational decisions. 

  • Presentation & Communication: Assists with the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing key financial metrics and insights.  

  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights; Effectively synthesize data for audiences in and outside of Finance. 

  • Ad-hoc: Prepares standard and ad-hoc models of moderate complexity; Prepares routine reports and assists in ad-hoc reporting requests of limited complexity from business leaders. 

 

 Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related quantitative field is preferred 

  • 2+ years of full-time relevant work experience in the US 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Tools  

  • Knowledge in SQL and Power BI preferred, but not required 

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data driven recommendations 

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.  

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment 

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills 

 

Location: This position is a hybrid role. It is required to be on-site 3 days per week at one of the following office locations: Chicago, IL. 


 

Annual Salary

$69,700.00 - $115,825.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
