Skills
- Expert-level C++/C development in production environments
- Proficient with Matlab/Simulink for control design and prototyping
- Strong background in optimal control, MPC, and Kalman filtering
- Experience with vehicle dynamics modeling and controller tuning
- Familiarity with ROS2, CAN, Python, Linux, source control, and containerization
- Experience setting up and running SiL/HiL tests and in-vehicle validation
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, integrate, and maintain real-time, mission-critical control software for the autonomy stack.
- Collaborate with research engineers to convert algorithms into maintainable, testable production code.
- Develop and validate control and optimization methods in simulation and during in-vehicle testing.
- Support rapid prototyping via Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL).
- Participate in tuning, calibration, data visualization, and post-processing of test results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, localization, drive-by-wire (DBW), and testing teams for scalable integration.
Education
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Computer Science with controls/optimization focus
