Sr. Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and providing valuable insights to drive business decisions.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve accounting issues.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously seek process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Teams; experience with accounting software (e.g. Oracle).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 97,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
