Skills
- Advanced SQL expertise with complex joins and query optimization
- dbt for building and maintaining transformation pipelines
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Fivetran) and modern data stack workflows
- Product and subscription/SaaS analytics experience
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and interpret technical documentation
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain dbt data marts to transform raw user data into actionable utilization profiles and behavioral segments
- Create and optimize Looker (or equivalent) dashboards used daily by 20+ stakeholders across multiple departments
- Partner with Product Engineering to implement event tracking and behavioral analytics
- Deliver subscription, retention, and revenue forecasting analyses to inform product strategy
- Perform user journey and funnel deep-dives to identify friction points and improvement opportunities
- Optimize query and dashboard performance to reduce load times and ensure data accuracy
- Maintain high data quality standards and enable self-service analytics for non-technical users
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science)
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA) is a plus but not required
