Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Payments
Skills
- Proficiency in Java and Java frameworks like Spring (core/web/boot), Gradle, JUnit.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, Message Queues.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with containerization tools and performance tuning of JVM.
- Ability to work with globally-distributed teams and align technical/non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and scale backend services related to Payment, Billing, Identity, and partner integrations.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to solve critical user payment challenges.
- Lead scoping, API design, and implementation, driving production rollouts with minimal oversight.
- Implement agile delivery with frequent, incremental product iterations.
- Maintain and optimize fault-tolerant, scalable backend architectures.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
