- 7+ years building and scaling backend systems, APIs, and distributed services
- Strong Python development experience (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and schema/query optimization
- Practical experience integrating ML/AI models into production services
- Proficiency with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval systems for RAG and LLM applications
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Strong cross-functional communication and technical problem-solving
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate backend services and high-performance APIs to integrate AI models with scientific tools and user applications.
- Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured, unstructured, and vectorized data to support ML/AI workloads.
- Implement and optimize SQL, NoSQL, and vector database schemas and indexing for low-latency retrieval and inference.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimize systems for cost, speed, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate closely with ML researchers, platform engineers, and scientists to productionize algorithms and research prototypes.
Education
- Bachelorās or Masterās in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
