Skills
- PhD in Computer Science with a focus on security (or current PhD candidate)
- Strong understanding of at least two areas: Linux/Unix/Mac systems security, AWS/cloud security, SaaS security, or web application security
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language
- Demonstrated experience building security tooling or security-focused software
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Perform technical security assessments, code audits, and design reviews of product and platform components
- Develop tooling and technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities
- Advocate and embed secure practices across engineering teams
- Conduct assessments to identify current and emerging attack vectors against Figma services
- Support and help run penetration testing, offensive security exercises, and the bug bounty program
- Participate in operational security activities such as triage, incident response, security reviews, and risk management
Education
- PhD in Computer Science (security-focused) or actively enrolled in a CS PhD program
- Research or coursework demonstrating depth in security topics
