Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience managing engineering managers.
- Expertise in building and scaling high-throughput distributed systems.
- Ability to engage multiple cross-functional technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of modern search platforms like OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or Solr (preferred).
- Familiarity with infrastructure for products integrating LLMs or generative AI (preferred).
- Experience with developer-facing query systems such as GraphQL (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead and define the roadmap and technical strategy for next-generation product infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build infrastructure supporting real-time collaboration experiences.
- Support development of new infrastructure teams, including Search Platform.
- Build a healthy, scalable, inclusive, and growth-oriented engineering organization.
- Establish trust and accountability within and across teams through partnership with organizational leaders.
- Contribute to Figma's diversity and inclusion initiatives through hiring and community programs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred.
