Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer - Listing Quality
Skills
- 3+ years industry experience applying machine learning to production problems
- Experience with deep learning and LLM fine-tuning, especially multimodal models
- Strong programming skills (production code, model training pipelines)
- Familiarity with human-in-the-loop labeling and iterative model improvement
- Experience with e-commerce or product/listing quality problems preferred
- Strong cross-functional communication and product-oriented thinking
Responsibilities
- Define and drive data science vision, strategy, and execution for Listing Quality initiatives.
- Design, implement, and productionize deep learning and multimodal LLM solutions for image/text quality, attribute extraction, and duplicate/variant detection.
- Apply human-in-the-loop training and supervised fine-tuning to iteratively improve model accuracy and coverage.
- Lead cross-functional Listing Quality pod efforts, partnering with product, engineering, design, analytics, and operations to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Measure impact through experiments and metrics, optimize for product outcomes and cost-efficient inference.
- Mentor teammates, review models and code, and contribute to model deployment and monitoring processes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience)
- Master's or PhD in CS, Statistics, or related STEM field highly recommended
Benefits
- Base salary range $192,000–$264,000 plus eligibility for equity and benefits
- Hybrid work schedule: in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays (third flex day starting Jan 2026) with limited remote flexibility
