Analyst, Battery Testing | EAG Laboratories

This is a great opportunity for someone who aspires to be a battery engineer or scientist as you will be at the forefront of working in and expanding our new battery lab in Sunnyvale, CA. You will be exposed to diverse battery technologies across the whole life cycle of batteries. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Performing battery teardown and assembly
• Performing basic electrochemical testing and interpreting data
• Performing basic materials characterization and interpreting data
• Keeping lab and information organized
• Working with other experts within EAG's technical and commercial teams

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in science and technology fields
• Experiences reflecting your passion in the battery industry (coursework, internship, prior working experience etc.)
• Ability to think logically, navigate quickly in new situations, and analyze data
• Solid understanding of physics and chemistry at the undergraduate level
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile

Physical Requirements:

• Able to remain in a stationary standing position up to 2 hours at a time.
• Able to lift and move lab equipment and parts weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Able to use glove box gloves to operate various lab equipment and conduct lab procedures.
• Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment. 
• Ability to use a telephone, access file cabinets, receive and ship customer products
• Ability to sit for periods of time
• Ability to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting
