As an Analyst, you will report to the Senior Director of Business Strategy and Analytics for Empower Investments (EI). Empower Investments is an investment manager focused on delivering investment solutions for retirement investors. With more than $200 billion under management, Empower Investments' comprehensive suite of investment products and services include Empower Funds, a robust institutional separate account platform, collective investment trusts, and the industry's largest stable value platform offering principal preservation and attractive yields.

In this role, you will take the lead on building and sharing regular product management reports, turning data into actionable insights. You’ll dig into metrics, uncover trends, and collaborate with teams across sales, product management, and product development to help drive smart, strategic decisions.

• Generate and distribute periodic reports to management and periodically update management dashboards
• Answer business questions by developing and communicating key findings and insights about investment products, sales opportunities, and clients from large data sets
• Inform and influence strategic business decisions related to investment product management, product development, and sales using meaningful data visualizations, and reports that tell compelling stories
• Partner with other internal teams to develop thought-leadership content for internal and external consumption
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the firm’s products, distribution channels, client segments, and overall operating model, and consistently apply the knowledge when performing complex data analysis, and synthesizing the insights

• Prior experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, financial services, product management, business intelligence or an analytics-focused role
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field including finance and economics, STEM, Liberal Arts, or Operations
• Interest in asset management, wealth management, investment products, and financial markets
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences

• Outstanding analytical skills, research capabilities, attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
• Advanced capabilities in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience working with data transformation tools such as SAS is a plus
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and in a team environment
• Experience performing analysis and predictive modeling using Excel, SAS, SQL or similar tools
• Knowledge of one or two programming languages is a plus

Base Salary Range

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
